BASSLEER BIOFISH FOOD GREEN is a high-quality granular feed designed explicitly for herbivorous ornamental fish in both freshwater and marine aquariums. The Green variant is more of a plant-based nutrition: it contains ground leaves of the so-called miracle tree Moringa oleifera (5%) and 5% fresh-water algae Chlorella, unlike generic fish foods, which primarily concentrate on protein.

Nutritional and Functional Insights

The addition of Moringa suggests a more natural plant-based feeding method, similar to the food of most herbivorous fish in nature. Moringa is known to provide a good supply of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants; Chlorella algae provide pigments (carotenoids), chlorophyll, and unsaturated amino acids. This dietary balance supports metabolic, developmental, and digestive functions, as well as natural pigmentation.In addition, Green feed minimizes the risk of excessive protein overload by containing very low levels of heavy fish meal. It focuses on plant/herbal nutrients, which, in some cases, can lead to digestive problems or low water quality in herbivores and bottom feeders.
